Half way day is a vet school tradition to celebrate making it half way through the vet degree. After 2.5 years of hard work and dedication, the 3rd year class has a fun filled weekend away in Taupo with various activities on offer such as skydiving, river rafting, and relaxing spa treatments. It is a chance for the class to unwind and spend quality time together outside of the classroom. The Barely There calendar has been running for 13 years as the main source of funding for half way day. Every year the class also picks a charity to donate 10% of the proceeds to. This year, Retired Working Dogs NZ is the chosen charity.
